Missing posts

I am a few weeks behind due to the high level of family activity. We have just returned from a beach trip with a short detour through Savannah GA. I will start with a few photos from the house and fishing in Knoxville.

We had a crop of kohlrabi along with more radishes.
A mix between a turnip and an octopus.
The children made kites and flew them in the yard. The beauty of these particular kites is that they require the children to run to keep them in the air. A great activity for burning a little energy.
Goldie running with the kite she helped make.
We took a family fishing trip to Mead Quarry.  Goldie is getting really good at casting and working a lure.

We spent this weekend with friends a t Hunting Beach South Carolina. The campsite was nestled in a palmetto grove.
The motley crew.

The local wildlife was overtly friendly. Addicted to fig newton cookies and kohlrabi peals.

This buck was a bit of a creepster. Never too far from camp, always lurking in the background.

The kids loved the beach. We went twice a day.

We visited the lighthouse on Hunting Island. The lighthouse is there to warn seamen about the sand bars.

We arrived too late to walk the stairs to the top.

On the drive back to Knoxville we took a detour through Savannah GA.
Savannah is a beautiful city with colonial buildings and loads of Spanish moss in the trees.

We spent a little time at the playground to burn some energy before the long drive home.
